Non sono state dimenticate iniziative a carattere locale che, pur con qualche inevitabile limite, vanno premiate per la passione e la tenacia degli organizzatori.

Dall'elenco sono state tenute fuori tutte le iniziative che non raggiungono i requisiti minimi di capacità ed efficienza organizzativa, di affluenza di pubblico, e quelle che incoraggiano la vendita di oggetti che nulla hanno a che fare con il mondo degli appassionati di fossili, minerali e delle scienze naturali in generale.
